What is General Wellness?

General Wellness is how you feel day to day. The health concerns that affect our General Wellness are considered preventative because they are often presented with mild symptoms usually caused by stress, seasonal changes, or the environment. This would include seasonal allergies, sports pain relief, emotional stress, and cold or flu symptoms. 

What is Specialty care?

Specialty refers to health concerns that are more specific in nature and require an individualized treatment plan to address these complex or chronic issues. This would include areas such as women's health, fertility and reproductive health, neurological conditions, autoimmune disorders, and digestive dysfunction.

Why would I want a membership?

At its core, Traditional Chinese Medicine is a lifestyle, meaning the true benefits of our medicine is seen over time by using it consistently to support the mind and body. This requires being proactive with your health rather than waiting for sickness to appear before taking action, which is generally the approach with western medicine.  Having a membership allows you to commit to a lifestyle of preventative medicine with General Wellness visits while also having access to our Specialists when more specific concerns arise.

What is included in the membership?

Your monthly membership covers the standard treatment cost for acupuncture that you would otherwise pay per visit as a non-member. Office visit fees may still apply, but depending on the plan level your membership may also cover the office visit fees as well. Each plan level includes a suggested number of visits and priority access to our providers when it comes to scheduling availability. Your membership grants you access to a reduced cost per visit when compared to standard rates, when used as recommended. 

How much can I save with a membership?

Assuming each plan is used in accordance with the suggested number of visits each month, you can expect a savings of up to 20% or more. For example, an Access plan member coming in four times a month for General Wellness acupuncture will pay $189.99 for the month, plus a $25 office visit fee each time for a total of $289.99 for the month. A non-member coming in for the same visit four times a month will pay the current rate of $90 each time for a total of $360. 

Why is there a separate fee for office visits and treatments?

For billing purposes, we itemize the cost of each visit. Office visit fees apply to Access and Care plan members, and for all non-member visits. These fees cover the administrative costs involved with each appointment, while treatment fees are based on the type of treatment being performed.

What treatments are included?

Acupuncture is included in all plan levels for General Wellness visits. Additional fees apply for other treatment methods performed for Access or Care members. For Specialty visits, all treatment methods are covered under the Care and Concierge level plans. Treatments offered by our providers include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, auricular acupuncture, electrical stimulation, and herbs. 

How many treatments per month do I receive?

Membership is not a pre-payment for any specific number visits or treatments. Each plan level simply includes the suggested number of visits per month and the type of treatment(s) provided. For General Wellness maintenance and prevention, we recommend weekly to bi-weekly acupuncture treatments which is included in all plan levels, however the number of acupuncture treatments you wish to receive for General Wellness each month is up to you. For Specialty visits, you will be prescribed a customized treatment plan after your initial consultation which will recommend the number and frequency of visits with treatment type.

Are herbal formulas included in my membership?

Our Concierge Plus plan covers the cost of any prescribed herbal formulas or capsules during an active membership. All other plan levels do not include herbs or formulas.

 

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. After the first full month, you may cancel your membership by notifying our office staff or sending us an email. All requests to cancel received by the 25th of the month will cease at the end of the month. Cancellation requests received on or after the 25th of the month will renew for one last month.

Is the membership transferable or can I use it to cover a family member?

In order for us to effectively manage this membership, we cannot transfer memberships or allow member patients to use their coverage for others. With our Concierge and Concierge Plus plans, a primary member can add additional members of the same household to receive the same level of coverage.
